By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using it. The app’s [Privacy Policy](https://exaltesglobal.com/clarity-recovery-privacy-policy/) explains its data handling. If you are not legally able to agree to these terms yourself, involve a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian should supervise use by minors and authorise purchases where required. ## A companion, not medical care Clarity Recovery provides tools for reflection, routines and support for people working to quit pornography. It does not diagnose a condition, provide therapy or promise a particular recovery outcome. Self-check results, wellness guidance and research summaries are informational, not personalised medical advice. The SOS feature is an in-app support tool, not an emergency response or monitored service. If you are in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact local emergency services or a crisis helpline. Do not wait for the app or an accountability message to get help. ## Using the app responsibly You may use the app for your own personal, lawful purposes. Do not misuse it, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, or copy or redistribute its protected content except where permission or applicable law allows. Choose an accountability partner who has agreed to that role. You decide what to record and share. Keep your device secure, review imported-file matches before acting on them, and follow the permission and setup instructions for features you enable. ## Protection and feature limitations Website filtering and mindful pauses support your choices; they do not guarantee that all unwanted content will be blocked. DNS settings, other VPNs, browser settings, permissions, battery management and operating-system updates can affect protection. The blocker is not an anonymity or full-traffic VPN. Features vary by platform, device, app version and subscription. Optional health features depend on supported device services and permissions. External content and services may change or become unavailable. ## Subscriptions, trials and cancellation Where paid plans or trials are offered, the purchase screen and relevant store show the price, currency, duration, trial eligibility and renewal terms before you confirm. Do not rely on a website preview as a guarantee that a particular plan or trial is available. Subscriptions may renew automatically under the terms shown at purchase. Manage or cancel through the app’s Subscription settings or the Google Play / Apple subscription controls. Cancel before the store’s stated deadline to avoid the next renewal charge. Uninstalling the app or erasing local data does not cancel a subscription. Purchase processing, restoration and refund requests are subject to the relevant store’s rules and applicable consumer law. Publishing a personal story requires your permission; sending a support message does not by itself authorise us to publish your story. These terms give you permission to use the app; they do not transfer ownership of its intellectual property. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own applicable licences. Research papers, DNS filtering, app stores, messaging services, health platforms and external links are operated by their respective providers. Their terms and privacy practices apply when you use them. A link is not a guarantee of availability or an endorsement of every statement made by that provider. ## Updates, availability and responsibility We may update the app, content or these terms to reflect product or operational changes. Paid-subscription changes remain subject to the terms shown at purchase and applicable law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every device or a specific personal outcome.
